Co-Founder of *RPP*tv and *mimovi*
After completing graduate and post graduate degrees in physics worked
within music and film production for a diverse range of companies and
labels from independents to majors. Subsequently initiated the *RPP*net
project with funding from the DTI Broadcast Test Bed which then led to
the founding of *RPP*tv and *mimovi*. Further support applied for and
received for the project from the EU eContent fund for market validation
and now involved with the commercialisation and roll out of mimovi as
the initial web/mobile consumer facing platform.
Other interests: Oriental medicine, playing music and sailing.
*mimovi* is an enabling technology, a thin client collaborative web
browser media platform that allows its members to create their own
films and simple programme schedules and to publish or broadcast these
on multiple platforms and social networks such as the iPhone and
FaceBook. *mimovi* fills the gap in both professional and consumer
markets for a simple, quick and easy way to upload, search, create,
collaborate, share and publish rich media so, with the ease of use of a
really simple lightweight point click and drag application, B2B and B2C
users can make high quality media output anytime and anyplace - quicker,
easier and cheaper with no need for special equipment, software download
or specialist training. Broadcast standards of media and metadata
underline the platform so files can be accessed to migrate into the TV
broadcast workflow.
