Matthew Lawson
Head of Applied Technology Centre, BT
Matt Lawson is the head of BT's Applied Technology Centre (ATC) in the BT Group Chief Technology Office. Matt created the ATC for BT 4 years ago as a major new innovation capability to support BT's Lines of Business. Currently Matt delivers around 40 innovation projects per year across all of the lines of business in BT. Matt's previous role which he held for 3 years was Head of BT's Multimedia Research Centre. Matt has worked for BT for 11 years and has worked in Innovation, R&D as well as Project and Program management roles for BT. Matt has master's degrees in Physics and Telecommunications Engineering as well as being a chartered engineer and qualified leadership coach. At the age of 34 Matt is married with 1 young daughter and in his spare time likes eating Indian food and playing on his Xbox.
