John Donovan
Managing Director, Channels & PSS, Cisco UK & Ireland
John is responsible for all of the Cisco channels, alliances and PSS (product sales specialist) strategy across the UK and Irish markets . His team ensures that Ciscos customers can benefit from value added solutions and services offered by its channel community, which in turn means the channel community derives real business value out of their relationship with Cisco. The growth ambitions of Cisco are underpinned and enabled by its channels and alliances, and their ability to sell, deliver and service its full product range is critical to Ciscos success.
John joined Cisco in 1995 to take the role of an account manager working in the Large Corporate Team. He moved into a sales management position focusing on the media vertical market in 1999 where he quadrupled the business in two years. John became an operations director in 2001 where he was responsible for a large proportion of Ciscos UK business covering the vertical markets of manufacturing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, hi-tech, media, retail and services .
Johns extensive customer experience will bring great benefit to Ciscos channels and alliance community by helping them shape relevant and appropriate offerings for Ciscos customers.
With 17 years of sales and sales management experience, John has had the opportunity to work closely with many large enterprise customers and has gained a true understanding of their business needs and expectations. Johns 17 years of industry experience incorporates previous sales roles in both HP and 3Com.
