Rod Snodgrass
Chief Strategy Officer, Telecom New Zealand.
Rod has been at Telecom 9 years and is currently responsible for leading Telecoms Group Strategy and Corporate Development function which drives Telecoms' group strategy development and efforts around developing and optimising its portfolio of businesses and initiatives including driving group Corporate Development and coordinating Telecoms growth agenda.
Prior to his current role he ran Telecoms Wired Division for 2 years leading the group that developed, managed and marketed all of Telecoms fixed network and online solutions covering all online, voice, broadband and data offerings across both mass and managed markets accounting for the majority of Telecom's New Zealand customers, revenues and earnings.
Prior to that Rod was the General Manager of Xtra and XtraMSN (Telecoms ISP and Online Media businesses) including the online alliance with MSN and also held various financial, commercial and business development roles in Telecoms online division prior to being appointed General Manager in 2001.
Prior to joining Telecom in 1998 Rods spent 7 years in the oil and gas exploration and production industry in various strategy, business development and commercial roles. He has a double degree in Economics and Commercial Law, is a qualified New Zealand Chartered Accountant and sits on a number of commercial and social venture Boards and Institutes.
