Ralph Cochrane
Director, Corporate Development & Communications 21CN Systems, BT
Ralph is responsible for strategy, communications and best practice within the 21CN Systems and IT Programme. Prior to his current role Ralph was the CTO, Mobility for BT Global Services where he built and ran a successful consulting group across Europe, increasing revenues 600% year on year.
Prior to joining BT, for the second time in 2003, Ralph was the CEO & President of Venation, a network software start-up which he founded in 1999. He also ran an Internet research group at BT Labs in his early career, working with the world's leading companies on search, information management and webcasting before going on to manage commercial research collaboration for BT globally.
A frequent public speaker on entrepreneurialism and business, Ralph is a Charted Engineer by background who saw the light and found sales and marketing. He has won numerous awards including a Wall Street Journal award for Innovation and Guardian and Tornado Insider awards for business leadership.
