Neil Rogers
Managing Director 21CN, BT
21CN is the largest programme of its type anywhere in the world and will impact every aspect of BT’s business over the next five years. Neil Rogers has responsibility as Managing Director to draw together the various work streams of this programme, to ensure customer and shareholder benefits.
Prior to this, Neil was President of Global Business Management and had responsibility for growing BT’s 100 largest global customers’ accounts. Neil has worked for BT in the international sector for almost fifteen years with one of his roles being to increase the growth of the BT’s solutions business from £1bn to £3bn over five years. He also led on BT’s largest international deal, the $3bn network outsourcing deal for Reuters, along with the acquisition of Radianz the financial services extranet company.
Prior to this, Neil was President, Ignite Internet Services, building a European business to form the core of the Ignite market proposition. During 1999, Neil was Director, Global Business Markets and Director, Worldwide Transition.
At this point, Neil managed the transfer of 2,500 people and several million pounds worth of assets into the Concert Joint Venture with AT&T.
Until then, for four years Neil was General Manager of the Global Industry Sector, preceded by three years as BT’s European Sales Manager based in Paris. Prior to that, he developed and ran the first “Other Licensed Operators” sales channel in BT’s history.
Before joining BT in 1990, he worked in the Middle East in government communications contracting and for Plessey in sales and marketing roles.
Born in Manchester, he studied at Oxford University. Neil is a passionate Manchester United supporter and enjoys golf when there is time. He is married to Sharon and has three children aged 19, 15 and 13 so the golf is largely aspirational. |
