Al-Noor Ramji
Chief Executive Officer BT Exact / Group CIO
Al-Noor was appointed to the role of CEO BT Exact/Group CIO in May 2004. He is responsible for transforming the various IT uits that exist across BT into a one IT unit focused on customer success. This requires a fundamental change in BT’s processes and technology and total focus on customer satisfaction, business alignment and teamwork.
For the previous 3 years, Al-Noor held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Qwest Communications, where he led the IT and internal network functions and was responsible for business and billing operatons. In this role, Al-Noor was credited with reducing costs by $500 million in 18 months, improving quality and positioning the company as a world-class systems and end to end process innovator.
Until 2001, Al-Noor was the founder and Group CEO of Webtek Software, one of the leading software houses in India. Prior to this, he was the Global CIO of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he built business revenues by delivering a new system on time, and budget, through rapid repeated iteration. His main focus was to deliver the Investment Bank on the Web.
Al-Noor is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BSc in Electronics from the University of London.
Al-Noor is a non-executive Director of Misys plc – the global software products and solutions company.
Al-Noor lives in London with his family – his wife Mumtaz and his two children Kamilah and Inara.
