Philip E. Junker
Senior Vice President - Strategic Applications, Alltel
As senior vice president - strategic applications, Junker evaluates new
wireless and wireline applications, and works with the network,
marketing, IT and process development groups to facilitate new
product launches.
Junker joined the company in 1989 and most recently served as
executive vice president - marketing where he was responsible for
advertising, marketing communications, brand strategy, retail
merchandising, pricing and product management, emerging businesses,
data strategy and strategic marketing.
He has also held a variety of other positions including president
of the Southwest Region, president of the Mid-Atlantic Market Area,
vice president and general manager of the Mid-Atlantic Region,
director of strategic marketing and director of voice products
marketing.
Junker holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign service from
Georgetown University and a master’s degree in business
administration, finance and accounting from the University of Chicago
Graduate School of Business.
