John Holland John Holland
Director of Television, The Rights Marketing Company

John Holland is a senior manager with more than 25 years TV experience. He has worked extensively in interactive media since the mid-1990s and has a track record delivering complex digital projects.

Holland’s career has embraced a wide range of disciplines: business development and the identification and exploitation of new opportunities; negotiating deals; sales and marketing; branding; team building; innovative programme-making.

With a background in journalism and TV production, he has worked with a wide variety of broadcasters, both in the UK and internationally. Whilst at the BBC, he played a prominent role in the strategic development and integration of interactive television into the Corporation’s digital offering.

He has led a number of award-winning on-screen projects, including interactive Wimbledon at the BBC. Until recently, Holland was MD of interactive TV specialist Ensequence International, working with the most innovative of the major brands and broadcasters, such as Sky, MTV, Disney, QVC and HP. He now works as a strategic consultant in digital media and is Director of Television for innovation firm The Rights Marketing Company.

Holland is a firm believer in the power of cross-platform communications to enable deeper relationships between brands and customers. He also believes strongly in the need to integrate digital with non-digital media, like print and outdoor, to realise fully the potential of the new communications channels.

He is an alumni of Cranfield University School of Management.
