Chris Rees
General Manager, BSG Clearing Solutions
Chris is General Manager at BSG Clearing Solution, an AIM listed BPO company specialising in Business Process Outsourcing. BSG Clearing Solutions is a leading global provider of clearing and settlement, payment services, and financial risk management solutions for communications service providers. The company processes over 20 billion transactions annually for 630 of the world’s largest communications companies throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Chris has 18 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry.
Chris was previously Director of PwC’s Menlo Park Europe Technology Team, covering Telecommunications and Networking software technologies and leveraging his experience in various M&A and Consulting engagements.
Prior to joining PwC, Chris worked for Convergys Corporation (member of S&P 500) as Vice President Strategic Accounts EMEA. His role was to generate $ 80m of revenue by delivering customer care and billing solutions to the top 5 Telecommunications clients in Europe.
Chris joined Geneva Technology as part of the senior management team and helped grow the company from 100 to 450 people in 18 months. In April 2001, Geneva was acquired by Convergys for $ 692m.
Previously Chris was Sales Director at American Management Systems responsible for the Northern Europe Telecom Market.
Chris spent the first 8 years of his career at IBM UK where he held a variety of roles including Systems Engineer, Product Manager, Sales Executive and Sales Manager culminating in a two year assignment in Germany, where he was responsible for building a telecommunications solutions portfolio for the European Telecommunications market.
Chris’ University studies were in Electronic Engineering and Mathematics at Reading University.
Chris serves on the Investment Committee of a Venture Capital fund based in Switzerland and has Austrian nationality.
